Middle of Nowhere.
After our visit to Glacier National Park, we found ourselves waiting for transportation at this landing strip (would'nt even call it an airfield) in Middle of Nowhere, Montana. After a day in the Rocky Mountains, this place was so flat I felt a bit agoraphobic. Windy too.
Bryce Canyon. The hike we took that day turned into a little game of 'Who will get to the top first' leaving some in our group on the verge of collapse (including our guide, a park ranger who didn't realize exactly how competitive Hollywood executives can be).

After the Rain.
During the several years of production , I was lucky enough to be part of two scouting trips around the western states. The upcoming serie of posts will be devoted to sketches and paintings done on these occasions.
That day, we woke before dawn to a spectacular thunderstorm lighting the whole valley whith purple flashes. Later on, we learned how sticky the red dirt in this area can be when it turns to mud.
From a previous trip.
