In another style. Early in the development process, the incredible Carter Goodrich produced some beautiful designs for the show. I found his style so inspiring that I couldn't resist trying it out myself. This is not even close to what Carter actually does but still, I'll offer it as a token of my respect and admiration for a great artist.

The early version was created during visual development and before the character design was finalized. I painted the later one at the request of the marketing departement a few years later, based on the actual model sheet and armed with a better understanding of equine anatomy and proportions.
