Mr. Desmarchelier,

Muy Excellento!!! Bravisimo!!!

Man !!!I'm an instant fan of your work. I just stumbled on your blog 'coz I've been perusing art and animation blog for the past few months.

Being an artist myself, I'm learning a lot from your techniques just by looking at them. Hope you don't mind, I have practically saved all your images in my hard drive.

Please don't stop this blog and keep posting.

Can't wait for your next installment.

Till then. Thanks for sharing.

thank you luc, I love the rough brushstrokes. and it even creates a style in itself, you can't work precise so you don't go overboard with detail. you are pushed to work more on the idea of the motif. when we worked on MULAN, I asked the background painters to destroy all their brushes below size 6. to avoid getting lost in detail.

I love the format of all those tiny paintings on one large board. Very graphic and I love the compositons.
I also really love yoru travel wc's!

Thanks Everybody,
Nano, please be aware that some of those images are copyrighted material and should not be reproduced without permission. I am personnally inclined to allow 'fair use' of the 'creative commons' type with my personal work but I will urge you to keep strictly private and 'for educational purposes' only any material pertaining to my commissioned work. This said, thank you for your praises.
Hi Hans, nothing better than a clumsy brush to get the happy accidents that used to make painting such fun.
Cheers.
