Hi Mike, This set reminds me mostly of '2001. Space Odissey', although the original idea was to create something in the style of 'Dr No'. Not being familiar with that bit of English pop culture, I just improvised a retro-futuristic looking affair. I was really pleasantly surprised when it turned out in the movie virtually unchanged. Nice work Luc! It's extraordinary the way they have managed to light the set with so many lumens but virtually no shadows.
It's as if they've used one of the more extreme settings in Mental Ray or Brazil renderers.
I like the other worldly feeling that you put into the previs. Kewl!
