Bravo Luc,
Ca, ce sont les couloirs des Arenes d' Arles...

Merci Limbolo,
It may well be, now that you mention it. Although I don't know Arles very well, I visited 'les arenes de Nimes' as a kid and remember these cavernous corridors under the benches.
Cheers.

luc, what project(s) have these last few pieces been for?

Luc Desmarchelier said...

Hi Ben,
Those were done in the early visual development stage for 'Shrek' at a time when it was going to be made using motion capture and the main character was to be played by Chris Farley.
Rocky beginnings.
Cheers.

its interesting to see the early stages of that franchise, especially with all the changes that were made along the way, to the eventual success it has come to be.

Thanks again for putting these up, that 'Tower' image is just really striking a cord with me, really inspiring.

Great stuff Luc. How long did you work for Dreamworks . . .and do you still work freelance for them as well or is that forbidden where you work right now?

Mac,
I was at Dreamworks for eight years. I don't usually work in freelance when I already have a full time job.
Cheers.
