Luc, I work in a '50's era steel fabrication plant the building is so large and the air so thick with smoke that we have a limited sight distance in the shop. After a few hours of welding the room looks like a large, smoky, dance club. We've been looking for a renovation theme for our office, you just nailed it; Post Industrial Industrial.
Hey Vitalik, Thanks. It's good to hear you like it so much...A few more to come.
Richie, I visited a few car and truck factories in the 80's, and the giant hydraulic sledge hammer they used to forge the crankshafts was a sight I will never forget. I can't imagine what it's like to work in such conditions...I remember being told that because of the noise and the temperatures, the shifts at the forge were only twenty minutes long. Standing a hundred feet away for a few minutes was already a humbling experience... The Age of Steel. I have immense respect for the workers in these industries.
You are an incredible artist!...So skillful with everything: layout, colours, characters...I'm sincerely impressed. Myriad of wonderful things on your blog. Congratulations for your work.
