My guess is: this is Dracula's "hidout?"/"lair?" and because of some freak incident, he is unable to venture outside to "collect" blood on his own... so he has devised mutantly-large mosquitos to suck the blood from unwitting customers for him... and this scene is showing the ripe, plump gourmands returning to their master, only to be squeezed like tubes of toothpaste.
Logan, You have a twisted mind, but completely in synch with the way the story was developing at the time. Your guess is dead on. Hahaha. Forgot to mention: Mosquitoes design by Luis Grane. Cheers.
