This is so great. I love how your original sketch uses the black of the trees to paint in the highlight of where the sun hits and it becomes green. Looks georgeous.

Jared, I used both technique in this case; some cutting and pasting in the foreground, a 'Painter9' custom hose for the mid-ground and some custom 'Photoshop' brushes for the background.

WOW...this is a great piece. I love the fake mountain and fabricated lake and beach in the middle of such spectacular beauty......typical.
On some of the detailed masses of trees are you using a custom "tree brush" or are you copying and pasting trees?
