Well Ben, Here in southern California we don't get much rain in summer, so by August, the summer hill is quite yellow and dry as a bone. This one was painted in the morning. The rain usually comes in winter and so by February the winter hill is green and lush in the late afternoon light. Cheers.
nice studies! seems like the bottom one is winter and the top one is summer. crazy.
ReplyDeletewhat time of day did you paint these?
